ITR - Dr. Alan Clemens Reflects his Life With The Legendry Joe Meek for InTouchRadio.net

Dr. Alan Clemens Reflects About his Friend The Legend JOE MEEK-The 60's Producer Who Changed The World of Music.

ONLY on www.InTouchRadio.net NOW!

An accidental meeting last Sunday brought Michael Dixon of InTouchRadio.net together with friend and work colleague Dr. Alan Clemens together at the Holiday Inn, Stradford upon Avon in the unlikely reception hall of the Osteomyology Association (want to know more about Osteomyology - you'll have to listen to the show, very interesting too!). What transpired from an innocent conversation was previously unheard reflections of a friend now long passed on but never far from the mind of the conscious music who knows his / her history of modern English Pop - ular music.

Joe Meek changed the world forever with his inventions and his unique way of putting music, whether Pop or (would you believe) Electronica together, using Echo (Reverb), Compression, Oscillation and so on; he even used to send the Decca engineer over to spy on the new device when he accompanied such musical luminaries as Tom Jones!

Not only that - don't think you were there first if you had a bedroom studio, without doubt Joe was right back in the early/mid 1950's with his Holloway Road (London) Flat above a Leather Shop.

This is a real coupe - listen in with all the atmosphere of a busy Holiday Inn Osteomyology convention meeting going on in the background - truly fascinating.

It made my day and I would like to thank Alan Clemens so much for his informed help is Osteomyology and the enlightenments about his friend Joe Meek.

If you love music and want to know how you arrived at today's equipment - listen back to what it was like in the pioneering days.

Enjoy.

Michael x
