ITR - New Programs on Way - SubSource - Orchid Star at Waveform 2007
Get ready for more informal interviews off-stage at the Festivals. Here we have more from the newly fledged and already widely respected off-shoot of Sunrise Celebration albeit another guise, another face, another objective. The first and last or the last and first, whichever way you choose to look at it. Sunrise opens and Waveform sets.
Michael Dixon of InTouchRadio.net, living life to the full in a one-man tent with his Citroen Picasso at his side in the lea of the Press Tent and integrally part of the EchoPress team, inspired by hope, the hope of those 2007 has presented to him and running on latent energy from cold nights and camping like a over-aged boy scout, drinking with the best of them and then realizing the intervening years of non-camping life struggles and enthuses like a mountaineer without oxygen. But with hope and the energy of those he meets does his best to remember all the things he's just been told and comes to terms that his memory might need updating with a larger chipset...
Waveform Project's first outing at Powderham Castle, on the very edge of the Exe Estuary near Exeter in Devon on the South West peninsular was a great success and the final major festival of the 2007 season. For a first it achieved acclaim, it stood the ground of intent, the intent of everyone who worked hard for it to succeed. Even the local Devonshire Constabulary were helpful, unobtrusive and nice to talk to, more than could be said of other festivals own policing forces.
Get ready, they're in the pot right now - SubSource - Interview with Michael Dixon of InTouchRadio.net after the event at Lower Godney with Stu the Bass Player who came especially down for the interview after he seriously hurt his back on stage trying to compete with Kimber jumping from main monitor to stage - ouch! The Bass survived and so did Stu. Listen in . Later you will hear above the back stage din the interview with the other SubSource members and their set.
In edit right now, the interview and set with Orchid Star, beautiful people, great sense of family another informal meeting of souls in the Press tent with the EchoPress team ever-present in the background.
Both these acts are set for Sunrise Celebration 2008 - with the ending of one season we are looking forward to them opening the new with all the wonderful openness and reminders of what a festival should be, how did Michael Eavis express it "how Glastonbury was 35 years ago".
