ITR - ZubZub - Waveform Project, Exeter Sept 2007 'LIVE'

ZubZub 'Live'

InTouchRadio.net

Just finished the fantastic set of ZubZub 'Live' off the Main Stage at Waveform Project, in the grounds of Powderham Castle in September 2007.

My impressions:

Cool, chilled, slightly shaken and stirred”, now a blur in the annals of my mind.

This is one cool band and along with my old friends; the complement was complete including festival favourite Paul Didge the man of all things Didgeridoo – now wouldn’t you – think of anyone else to want to play with, he’s lovable, his dreads touch his…, do you think they’re extensions? No – perish the thought, and Alex Pym who also plays with Dream Machine (Dream Machine's set on it's way too).

How would I describe ZubZub – “insanely detached like an end terraced house that should have been a Stately Home on heat”! Unbelievably nice guys and focussed on their music.

I loved them - I love experimental music that is well played and coming from a collective mind with simultaneous overflowing rhythms and stereophonica (new word for the dictionary!) at its' extreme.

Listen - sit back, watch the movie if you must but more than pictures - let it transport you to parts of your mind you never knew you had.

ZubZub Band Members are:

Zia Geelani - Production, composer, programming, synths

Mark "Mindflux" Fletcher - Co-production, co-composer, synths, percussion

Jon "Champignon" Egan - Concert flute, ney, dudek, zorna

Alex Pym - Electric guitar

Contact ZubZub at MySpace: http://www.myspace.com/zubmusic

And tell them you heard them on InTouchRadio.net this helps them and helps us to know you're spreading the word - hope you enjoy the gig.

This is the quality of band that will give a future to Waveform Project and of course the up and nearly here Sunrise Celebration Festival and guess who'll be there... ZubZub of course – and where – don’t be silly – where else but on
