'Through my teaching,' he said, 'I want to impart to you some essential notions of the human being: how he is designed, his relationships with nature, the exchanges he must make with the universe if he is to drink from the springs of divine life.'

The Master Omraam Mikhaël Aïvanhov (1900-1986) was born in Bulgaria and received French citizenship just before his death. At the age of 17 he became Peter Deunov’s disciple and stayed with him until 1937.

It was at this time that Peter Deunov, founder of the White Brotherhood, asked him to leave Bulgaria for France in order to spread the teaching.

From 1938 until 1986 he gave some 4,500 talks in French, first of all in France (in Paris and its outskirts, and later at Fréjus in the Var region), and then in Switzerland, Canada, the United States, India, Sweden and Norway.

He also visited many other countries.

His talks were first recorded in shorthand, then in 1960 on audio tape, and then on videotape.

Finally, in 1972 Prosveta Publications released several collections of these talks in the form of books and brochures (translated into 30 languages), CDs and DVDs with subtitles.

Bass Player is sad to report the passing of longtime Hall & Oates and "Saturday Night Live" bassist Tom "T-Bone" Wolk, who died of a heart attack on February 27, 2010. The following is an official statement from Daryl Hall and John Oates. BP's Chris Jisi is currently putting together a full obituary.

Daryl Hall:
"To say that I am shocked is the ultimate understatement. T-Bone was my musical brother and losing him is like losing my right hand. It’s not if I will go on, but how. T-Bone was one of the most sensitive and good human beings that I have ever known. And, I can truly say that I loved him."

John Oates:
"His character was pure and his unique and quirky personality touched everyone he encountered. His musical sensibility was peerless, any instrument that he touched resonated with a sensitivity and skill level that I have never experienced while playing with any other musician. He possessed an encyclopedic knowledge of styles and musical history which he referenced to support all the artists that he played with over the years. He became our band's musical director over time leading by example and by the deference and respect that everyone who played alongside him so rightfully accorded him. He made everyone he played with better. So many times when I'm working on a musical passage or part, I think to myself: "How would T-Bone play this" and aspire to his level every time I perform. To this day I always keep one of his "I Love Vermont" guitar picks with me where ever I go and know in my heart that starting today the Heavenly Band just got one of the greatest multi-instrumentalist of all time and that band will from this day forward sound better than they ever have before."

"A Birthday Celebration and a tribute to Michael Dixon,

founder of ITR"

A very young Michael!!!

Michael Dixon was born on Feb. 28th, in Burlington Avenue, Slough, but moved to Windsor 2 years later. His Grandfather was an Antique Dealer who specialized in Oak and Stamps (Philately) and was one of the first Antique Dealers to import Inlaid Turquoise. He was also an Archeologist (one of those who found "Edward the Confessors" Tomb in Old Windsor. He was also a great writer, he wrote many childrens' stories and the "Uncle Mac" stories on BBC radio back in the 1940s. He was also a great Poet, although nothing has been found since his untimely death of a Brain Hemorrhage in 1956. He also used to give Tarot readings and other using ordinary playing cards.

Michael grew up with his Grandfather who sometimes had difficulty getting out and about, so he and Michael would walk a hundred or so yards (metres) to the Post Office or the School. He acquired the name "Kennel Ride Ascot" after a road in Ascot. In those days he was known as "Ken" or "Kenny"... but that was only his Christian name, not his registered name of Michael Kenneth

Michael comes from a line of Psychics/Intuits with Spiritual family members on both sides. His Mother and her Mother, his Father and his Father. His Mum is a "Seer" and her Mother came from a background which is believed to be Romany or Gypsy, with the "Lewin" line from Epsom in Surrey. Michael himself is both a Clairsentient and Claircognisant. He first became aware of these gifts from the age of three. Some of us know him as "Michael-Psychic Soul Man."

He went to Dedworth Green Junior School near where his Mum still lives. Interestingly the Head Master, a Mr. Andrews, wrote in a Year Report around the age of 8 or 9, that Michael would become an Artist, Writer, or be involved in Sales. He has undertaken all three. There was no mention of music, that was yet to come. He later went on to Senior School, "The Royal Free Bachelor's acre, Windsor, the first free school in the UK. It is believed to have been founded during Queen Anne's Reign in 1705. George Reid the headmaster saw Michael's potential and his interest in music became an influence for the young future musician. Michael then went to East Berk's College, Windsor, with the idea of becoming a Journalist.

On the subject of music, Michael asked his Mum and Dad for a guitar at about the age of 12 and received a 6-String Acoustic Spanish style guitar. The first thing he did was dispatch the first 2 strings, he wanted to play Bass guitar. At about 14 or 15 he was asked to join a group called the "Blue Notes" based in Windsor and Slough. After College, Michael went into the Merchant Navy with P&O-Orient on the S.S. Canberra on a world cruise (which he is currently writing the story about) on his return he then went back to play with the "Blue Notes." They did lots of gigs, but changed the name to "Left Bank."

Michael put together a band called "Breakfast" which soon became "Giant Bird" with Dave Chadd on vocals, "Gee Tee" Moore (as he was called) on guitar and Vocals, Steve Jones on Keyboards, Tony Sloan on Drums, and Michael on Bass guitar. They worked as a band, which was mainly Folk/Rock in musical essence.

"Giant Bird" wrote a lot of self-penned songs including the group's name sake "Giant Bird" , "From a Minstrel And A King" and others. They also covered The Beatles' "Eleanor Rigby." They did the first 'upbeat' version (it took six weeks to perfect) along with The Band's "The Weight" and Bob Dylan's "From a Buick Six" and Arlo Guthries' "Motor Cycle" (pronounced "sickle") Song, all their own versions.

Unfortunately, I am leaving out several names and details due to space, I do want to mention that Michael recorded with "Virgin Sound" Studios, Windsor. Giant Bird was picked up in London by the famous "Radio Caroline" then BBC Disc Jockey "Tony Blackburn" who loved their music. They did a session at the very famous London studio: "Olympic Studios" where they recorded: "Giant Bird", "From A Minstrel And A King" & "Goodbye".

After Michael left the band, the phone rang and he was invited to "stand in" for a group who were "Cousins of the Kinks" for a short period.

After this, Michael went Solo and went back to working on the River Thames in Windsor as a Skipper, writing Poetry/Prose and Songs. He sold his beloved Bass Guitar, then purchased an 'Eko Ranger' 12 String Acoustic Guitar.

Michael also met a gentleman by the name of Reg Try, the owner of Windsorian Coaches. Knowing about Michael's writing talent, he asked him to write the history St. Leonard's Mansion, in Poetic form.

While on the boats, Michael met a Post Office Engineer, who was working at the Thames Hotel. He saw Michael's guitar, the two struck up a friendship, and gave birth to "Sunrise." The man was named Roy Young, the duo co-wrote 21 songs in 3 weeks, and entered, what is now known to be, the first Slough Arts Festival. They did not "win" the competition, they came second to an American group called 'Atlantic Gap'. However; as Michael put it, "It was a win for us."

"Sunrise" played several gigs, this was not to last, however; Roy was getting married, Michael was already then married and he and his wife were expecting their first child.

The young family moved to Cornwall in 1975/6 and Michael started his own business "Old Mill Antiques." His Dad used to buy for him in the auctions in the Windsor and surrounding area and bring the items down to his home just outside of Bude in North Cornwall. The shop was in Boscastle near Tintagel (home of the legend of King Arthur & Merlin).

Michael gave up music from 1971 to 1981. He built up the business from a single stall in the Old Mill in Boscastle, to a shop above an Art Gallery.

By 1980 the business had grown and changed its name to 'Touchwood Antiques' and moved to the "Home of Antiques", the thriving Antiques centre of Stow on the Wold, Gloucestershire.

Unfortunately, tragedy struck. There were several deaths in the family including Michael's Father, and while they were at the funeral of his wife's Father, there was extensive water damage to all five floors of the Antique shop due to a roofing project, which made for a difficult start to a new area.

By the end of 1981, Michael became involved in CB radio. He and a friend Michael Annesley started up a group of CB'ers giving out information and looking after the elderly and lonely in their area. The group was known as the "Delta X-Ray" group.

Winters in the Cotswolds could bring deep snow and the CB group provided a sort of "life line" for those who felt cut off, and of course a means to report any accidents or emergencies.

One day through the 'Delta X-Ray' experience, Michael met a man named Laurie Keen. He had heard that Michael had been in bands in the 60's and would he be interested in forming a band.

After a name and member changes they formed "Hooker."

"Hooker" was known as "The Rock n' Roll Band You'd Love To Hate To Meet." "Hooker" had a great following, more a family than a group and usually had 10 people or more, all dedicated.

"Hooker" did a 1983-84 tour, then finished a natural dying in 1985.

Later years: Ian Bramble came to live with Michael for about 6 months and they started "Ten Moons Found" which was the beginning in 1985 of Touchwood Music Studios, which was supported by Touchwood Antiques.

Michael worked with his son Simon and his group (no name at that time) with Matt Bucher and others.

Then there was Chris Ongers as a studio singer, (MySpace Songs on ITR, "Living in A World of Your Own, City of Sin, Children of Nighttime etc. check out the new songs online now!)

Dave Catling (Hooker) and Michael got back together and co-wrote for 10 years.

There are so many other people, such as Duran Duran's Roger Taylor, who as a friend worked on some TWM projects through the 90's and bands and clients who came into the Touchwood Antiques/Music World, and so many adventures not shown, as there simply is not enough room, apologies if I have left anyone out.

Michael is still a talented writer, musician, Antiques expert, a psychic and healer, and hypnotherapist.

Michael is divorced, has 3 children, Simon, Seth, and Sophie, and resides with his companion Carol near Glastonbury, Somerset. Michael has many other wonderful attributes.

Michael is a Lover, of people, animals, the earth, peace, of the beautiful things here that matter. (As many know, he also has a wonderful sense of humor).

Above all, he is a wonderful friend.

In 2004, International Youth worker and 2001 European Woman of the Year and 2004 Nobel Peace Prize (1000 Women) Nominee, Detta Regan, organised the first ‘Follow the Women’ cycle tour of the Middle East.

2009 marked the charity’s 5th bike ride when women from Iran, Palestine & Israel joined teams of women of all ages (18-70!) and religions from across Europe, America, Australia, the Far and Middle East for the two week event.

Bridport resident, Lyn Jones’ daughter, Emma, became involved in the organisation for the 2008 & 2009 cycle rides and was with the women as part of the back-up team in 2009.

On Saturday 6^th March at the start of International Women’s Week, Detta will be giving a talk at St Mary’s Church, Bridport at 7.30 pm about the organisation, the cycle rides and their experiences.

Follow the Women – followthewomen.com - is a non-political international organisation and registered charity that campaigns for peace and an end to violence in the Middle East and has now grown into an international movement of over 1200 women committed to promoting peace and cross-cultural understanding.

There will be refreshments with a Middle Eastern flavour after the talk.

In 1994 we inaugurated "Two Weeks with McCoy Tyner" at Yoshi's on Claremont Ave. It became an annual happening that we looked forward to every year as did the sold out audiences that attended these All-Star events. To kick off 2010 at Yoshi's San Francisco, we thought we'd start a new tradition with an artist that has the musical diversity and star power to warrant such an event -- trumpeter Roy Hargrove. A multi-Grammy winner with his own albums (Directions in Music, with Herbie Hancock and Michael Brecker) and Crisol (A Cuban music all-star offering), he's also been nominated for a wide variety of other albums, including this year (2009) with his Roy Hargrove Big Band.

WEEK 1: To add even more fire to his already incendiary quintet, saxophone titan PHAROAH SANDERS joins Roy for their first-ever musical meeting. One of Roy's finest straight ahead records 1994's "..With The Tenors of Our Time" he played with Joe Henderson, Stanley Turrentine, Johnny Griffin, Branford Marsalis, Joshua Redman...Now we can add Pharoah Sanders to that list.

WEEK 2: Roy's been called "the 21st Century Quincy Jones" and with RH FACTOR's Grammy-nominated "Hard Groove" from 2003 which featured a who's who of Soul and R&B you can see why: D'Angelo, Erykah Badu, Anthony Hamilton, Common, Q-Tip, Meshell Ndegeocello, Karl Denson and many more joined in. Roy's uniquely gifted to bring these different worlds together under one funky, improvising roof. At Yoshi's there will be special guests dropping in during the week so be prepared for a soulful week of groove.

Personal note: While at Verve, I had the privilege of co-producing "Directions In Music," "Roy Hargrove with Strings" and "Hard Groove" and I believe that Roy's the perfect artist for us celebrate the diversity of jazz in a truly uncompromising, authentic way. I hope you'll join us for this inaugural event. There's only one 1st time for everything.

'My Confession'

My Confession:

I am a Jew, and every single one of my ancestors was Jewish. And it does not bother me even a little bit when people call those beautiful lit up, bejeweled trees, Christmas trees. I don’t feel threatened. I don’t feel discriminated against. That’s what they are ~ Christmas trees.

It doesn’t bother me a bit when people say, ‘Merry Christmas’ to me. I don’t think they are slighting me or getting ready to put me in a ghetto. In fact, I kind of like it. It shows that we are all brothers and sisters celebrating this happy time of year.

It doesn’t bother me at all that there is a manger scene on display at a key intersection near my beach house in Malibu. If people want a crèche, it’s just as fine with me as is the Menorah a few hundred yards away.

I don’t like getting pushed around for being a Jew, and I don’t think Christians like getting pushed around for being Christians. I think people who believe in God are sick and tired of getting pushed around, period. I have no idea where the concept came from, that America is an explicitly atheist country. I can’t find it in the Constitution and I don’t like it being shoved down my throat. Or maybe I can put it another way: where did the idea come from that we should worship celebrities and we aren’t allowed to worship God, as we understand Him? I guess that’s a sign that I’m getting old, too. But there are a lot of us who are wondering where these celebrities came from and where the America we knew went to.

In light of the many jokes we send to one another for a laugh, this is a little different: This is not intended to be a joke; it’s not funny, it’s intended to get you thinking.

Billy Graham’s daughter was interviewed on the ‘Early Show’ and Jane Clayson asked her ‘How could God let something like this happen?’ (Regarding Hurricane Katrina). Anne Graham gave an extremely profound and insightful response. She said, ‘I believe God is deeply saddened by this, just as we are, but for years we’ve been telling God to get out of our schools, to get out of our government and to get out of our lives. And being the gentleman ‘He’ is, I believe ‘He’ has calmly backed out. How can we expect God to give us His blessing and His protection if we demand He leave us alone?’

In light of recent events... terrorists attack, school shootings, etc., I think it started when Madeleine Murray O’Hare (she was murdered, her body found a few years ago) complained she didn’t want prayer in our schools, and we said OK.

Then someone said you better not read the Bible in school.. The Bible says thou shalt not kill; thou shalt not steal, and love your neighbor as yourself. And we said OK.

Then Dr. Benjamin Spock said we shouldn’t spank our children when they misbehave, because their little personalities would be warped and we might damage their self-esteem (Dr. Spock’s son committed suicide). We said an expert should know what he’s talking about. And we said okay. Now we’re asking ourselves why our children have no conscience. Why they don’t know right from wrong. And why it doesn’t bother them to kill strangers, their classmates, and themselves. Probably, if we think about it long and hard enough, we can figure it out. I think it has a great deal to do with ‘WE REAP WHAT WE SOW.’

Funny how simple it is for people to trash God and then wonder why the world’s going to hell. Funny how we believe what the newspapers say, but question what the Bible says. Funny how you can send ‘jokes’ through e-mail and they spread like wildfire, but when you start sending messages regarding the Lord, people think twice about sharing. Funny how lewd, crude, vulgar and obscene articles pass freely through cyberspace, but public discussion of God is suppressed in the school and workplace.

Are you laughing yet?

Funny how when you forward this message, you will not send it to many on your address list because you’re not sure what they believe, or what they will think of you for sending it. Funny how we can be more worried about what other people think of us than what God thinks of us.

Pass it on if you think it has merit.

If not, then just discard it…

No one will know you did.

But, if you discard this thought process, don’t sit back and complain about what bad shape the world is in.

Lake District

Storms Update

Dear National Trust Friends

Forgive me for another email so soon after the last one, but many of you have been asking how things are getting on in the Lakes, so I thought I would drop you one last update.

After a hectic couple of weeks, we’re now able to draw breath, moving on from the “emergency” phase to the “clear up” and beginning to plan for the future. The emerging picture is one of heavily localised damage, especially in places such as Ullswater, Buttermere and Coniston.

Amazing amounts of gravel and stone have been washed onto fields, paths and tracks, while many walls and fences have been swept away.
Numerous bridges have been damaged and many paths have disappeared.
Over 20 houses and farms have suffered substantial damage and many others have been affected to one degree or another.
We have re-housed a number of tenants and will continue to help others where we can.
To date, we’ve identified over £300,000 of work needed in the countryside that’s not covered by insurance.
On the up side, there’s a strong determination amongst communities across the Lakes to get things back on track and we’re committed to playing our part in that. With the help of passionate volunteers, our wardens are now working on this mammoth task – clearing debris from the head of Coniston or flooded buildings, diverting becks away from buildings and back to their original course and rebuilding paths, bridges and walls. And we’re planning for the longer term, to look at what we must do to cope with and adapt to such events and the likely impacts of a changing climate.

We’re immensely grateful for all the support that we have received. Although the immediate crisis has passed, there’s no doubt we’ll be dealing with the aftermath of the floods for many months to come. Any help that you can give, whether it’s continuing to visit the Lakes and supporting the local communities, volunteering your help or donating to the Lake District Flood Appeal, will be very much appreciated. We will continue to update the North West pages on the website with the latest videos and news.

Richard Todd, best known for his role in the classic war film The Dam Busters, has died aged 90.

The Dublin-born star had been suffering from cancer and died in his sleep at home in Grantham, near Lincolnshire, his spokeswoman said.

The actor and real-life war hero appeared in 23 films from 1949-1968, with his most famous role being Wing Commander Guy Gibson in The Dam Busters in 1955.

While serving in the Second World War Todd gained the rank of captain and was one of the first British soldiers to parachute into Normandy on D-Day.

After the war, he appeared on stage in London and on Broadway before being nominated for an Oscar in 1949 for his role in The Hasty Heart opposite future US President Ronald Reagan.

James Bond author Ian Fleming picked Todd as his first choice to play 007 - but the actor turned down the role because of other commitments and it went to Sir Sean Connery instead.

Michael Winner, who directed Todd in the 1978 film The Big Sleep, described him as "the best example of classic British screen acting".

"He was a very fine actor but his style of acting went out of fashion, which was a pity because his contribution to British movies was enormous," he said.

"He was also a very, very nice person.

"He was a good friend and wonderful to work with, utterly professional, very quiet, just got on with it.

"He was just a splendid person and a very, very good actor."

Todd continued acting on television well into his eighties.

The twice-married actor was deeply affected by the deaths of two of his four sons, who both committed suicide.

Glasgow-born songwriter and musician Eric Woolfson, one of the key figures in The Alan Parsons Project, has died. He recorded a string of albums with record producer Alan Parsons, as well as writing his own musicals and writing and producing songs for other artists. Woolfson, 64, had been battling cancer and died in London on Tuesday night, his friend Deborah Owen said.

Mr. Woolfson, a songwriter and keyboardist, met Alan Parsons in the summer of 1974 while working as a session musician at Abbey Road Studios in London. He had recently branched out into management, and Mr. Parsons, an engineer and producer who had just completed work on Pink Floyd’s “Dark Side of the Moon,” asked to be taken on as a client.

Before long the pair began discussing ideas about a new kind of group that would emphasize the engineer and producer rather than the musicians, in the same way that auteur filmmakers were turning the spotlight away from stars and onto the director. In 1975 they formed the Alan Parsons Project, a studio entity that had no permanent members, other than its two founders, and never toured.

Mr. Woolfson, who wrote nearly all the music and lyrics for the group’s 10 concept albums, sang lead vocals on many of its most famous songs, including “Time,” “Eye in the Sky” and “Don’t Answer Me.”

Eric Norman Woolfson was born in Glasgow on March 18, 1945. He taught himself to play piano. In the 1960s he was hired as a songwriter by Andrew Loog Oldham, the Rolling Stones’ producer, and for a time he worked at Southern Music, where his fellow songwriters and lyricists included Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice.

During this period he wrote songs for Marianne Faithfull, Chris Farlowe, the Tremeloes and other artists.

As a fledgling manager, Mr. Woolfson signed Carl Douglas as one of his first clients and was rewarded when his “Kung Fu Fighting” reached No. 1 on the British and American charts. His chance meeting with Mr. Parsons, however, put his career on a new track.

For the group’s first album, Mr. Woolfson drew on material he had been developing based on the work of Edgar Allan Poe. “Tales of Mystery and Imagination,” released on the Charisma label in 1976, was a surprise success, and Clive Davis signed the group to Arista Records, where Mr. Woolfson and Mr. Parsons made nine more albums before going their separate ways in 1990.

Initially Mr. Woolfson sang the lead vocals on demo tapes, and guest artists with a similar vocal style would perform on the final version. He lobbied Mr. Parsons to let him take the lead vocal on “Time,” which turned out to be one of the group’s biggest hits, reaching No. 15 on the Billboard pop chart in 1981. Thereafter, Mr. Woolfson sang lead on nearly all the group’s songs.

After splitting up with Mr. Parsons, Mr. Woolfson wrote musicals strongly influenced by the work he had done with the Alan Parsons Project. “Freudiana” incorporated music from a work in progress that EMI released without Mr. Woolfson’s participation, and “Gaudi” and “Gambler” incorporated some of the group’s songs.

Mr. Woolfson’s musical “Edgar Allan Poe” is now playing in Berlin.

In addition to his daughter Sally, of London, he is survived by his wife, Hazel; another daughter, Lorna Covington, of Bristol; and three grandchildren.

They were a studio band that never played live.

This is amazing but true.

Their 'Wall-of-Sound' gave us such a concert experience, we never gave it a second thought; yet it was a ground breaking move in the history of modern music.

I so truely loved their music and respected their technique.

I was invited in to 'Different Fur Studio' in San Francico,California when they were recording there in 1993; this I shall never forget!

It Was 'DICK CLARK DAY' Officially Monday here in Hollywood on the 'Walk Of Fame' ~ Sunset & Vine Streets in Celebration of Dick Clark's 80th BIRTHDAY at a 'STAR ReDedication Ceremony' held at Dick's own 'Star'.

In 2005, Clark returned to his Dick Clark's New Year's Rocking' Eve special after missing the 2004 broadcast, due to a minor stroke which forced him to skip his first broadcast in 32 years.

Clark will once again be back in Times Square this year, along with co-host Ryan Seacrest, to ring in 2010. Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve airs on December 31st at on ABC. Check your local listings for stations and times.

Barry Manilow, one of Clark's many longtime friends and supporters, was proud of Clark's quick return to the airwaves following his stroke: "When one of those things hit, they stop you, and he's a real trooper. He's a real trooper. He'd much rather be up there producing this thing than sitting there and I think he was a real trooper."

Clark has played a significant role in helping shape the way America listens to and sees music. Clark was born in Mount Vernon, New York and started his career at age 17 working in radio. By 1952, he was on the air, hosting the Caravan Of Music, a local radio show in Philadelphia. At the time, the station's television affiliate had a teenage dance show called Bandstand, and in 1956, at the age of 26, Dick Clark took over as permanent host of the show.

Fabian remembered that auditioning for the host of American Bandstand was a somewhat intimidating experience: "Dick was a, and still is, a very interesting guy. He wouldn't let just anybody on his show, you know, so you had to go for an interview with him first. And he had to hear the record and he played it right in front of you (laughs) and then you would get the OK or you wouldn't get the OK. And I was so young, I didn't know what all that meant, but I do now, and he was very excited and I guess there was something about me that he liked."

Dick Clark, affectionately known as "America's Oldest Teenager," celebrates his 80th birthday today (November 30th). In 2005, Clark returned to his Dick Clark's New Year's Rocking' Eve special after missing the 2004 broadcast, due to a minor stroke which forced him to skip his first broadcast in 32 years. Clark will once again be back in Times Square this year, along with co-host Ryan Seacrest, to ring in 2010. Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve airs on December 31st at on ABC. Check your local listings for stations and times.

Barry Manilow, one of Clark's many longtime friends and supporters, was proud of Clark's quick return to the airwaves following his stroke: "When one of those things hit, they stop you, and he's a real trooper. He's a real trooper. He'd much rather be up there producing this thing than sitting there and I think he was a real trooper."

Clark has played a significant role in helping shape the way America listens to and sees music. Clark was born in Mount Vernon, New York and started his career at age 17 working in radio. By 1952, he was on the air, hosting the Caravan Of Music, a local radio show in Philadelphia. At the time, the station's television affiliate had a teenage dance show called Bandstand, and in 1956, at the age of 26, Dick Clark took over as permanent host of the show.

With Clark's magnetic personality and love of music, the show became the highest rated program in its time slot in the Philadelphia area. These ratings led to the show being picked up by the ABC television network, who distributed it nationally in August 1957 as American Bandstand. The show became wildly popular with teenagers, who finally had an outlet to dance to the newest music and see some of the biggest acts perform live on the show.

Bobby Rydell says that Dick Clark had an uncanny knack of being able to pick his hit singles: "Before 'Kissin' Time' came out, Bernie Lowe, the owner of the company would take dubs of my first three recordings and Dick would listen to them and he would say, 'No, it's not in the grooves.' And finally Bernie Lowe brought the dub down of kissin' Time' and Dick played the record and Dick said, 'This is a hit.' And then the record came out, Dick started playing it, y'know, on his TV show -- on Bandstand -- and the response to that it immediate!"

It happened at Wal-Mart (Supercenter Store #1279, 10411 N Freeway 45,
Houston, TX 77037 a month ago.

I bought a bunch of stuff, over $150, & I glanced at my receipt as the cashier was handing me the bags. I saw a cash-back of $40. I told her I didn't request a cash back & to delete it.

She said I'd have to take the $40 because she couldn't delete it.

I told her to call a supervisor.

Supervisor came & said I'd have to take it.

I said NO!

Taking the $40 would be a cash advance against my Discover (Card) & I wasn't paying interest on a cash advance!!!!!

If they couldn't delete it then they would have to delete the whole order. So the supervisor had the
cashier delete the whole order & re-scan everything!

The second time I looked at the electronic pad before I signed & a cash-back of $20 popped up.

At that point I told the cashier & she deleted it.

The total came out right.

The cashier agreed that the electronic pad must be defective.

Obviously the cashier knew the electronic pad was defective because she NEVER offered me the $40 at the beginning.

Can you imagine how many people went through before me & at the end of her shift how much money she pocketed?

Just to alert everyone.

My co worker went to Milford, DE Wal-Mart last week. She had her items rung up by the cashier. The cashier hurried her along and didn't give her a receipt.

She asked the cashier for a receipt and the cashier was annoyed and gave it to her.

My co worker didn't look at her receipt until later that night.

The receipt showed that she asked for $20 cash back!

SHE DID NOT ASK FOR CASH BACK!

My co-worker called Wal-Mart who investigated but could not see the cashier pocket the money. She then called her niece who works for the bank and her niece told her this. This is a new scam going on. The cashier will key in that you asked for cash back and then hand it to her friend who is the next person in line.

Please, please, please check your receipts right away when using credit or debit cards! This is NOT limited to Wal-Mart, although they are the largest retailer so they have the most incidents.

I am adding to this.

My husband and I were in Wal-Mart North Salisbury and paying with credit card when my husband went to sign the credit card signer he just happen to notice there was a $20 cash back added.

He told the cashier that he did not ask nor want cash back and she said this machine has been messing up and she cancelled it.

We really didn't think anything of it until we read this email.

I wonder how many people have been, or will be, "stung" by this one????

On October 30th,2009

Editors of local papers in Kyiv, Ukraine received a flood of phone calls from citizens reporting low flying aircraft spraying an unknown aerosolized substance over L'viv, Ternopil and other cities.

On October 27th

The Ukrainian media broke the story that on October 26th"in Ternopil an unknown flu had killed seven people , and that over the past few days about 6 thousand people had sought out medical attention in regards to flu like symptoms.

From this first report through to the 9th"of November over 1 million people inside the Ukraine people have contracted some form of flu like illness.

This is almost double the number of 'confirmed' H1N1 cases worldwide in all other countries. There have also been over 155 deaths reported due to influenza during this time.

This outbreak is unprecedented yet it has received minimal coverage in the western media. It just seemed to get lost amidst all of the swine flu coverage, and written off as just more cases of H1N1 before any lab samples had been processed.

In the Ukrainian and Russian media however the outbreak has been treated more seriously and has been referred to as 'pneumonic plague'.

On October 29th a report came out of Ukraine describing the deaths of 6 young people in the Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast. "After the autopsies were performed it was recorded that the cause of death in these individuals was "severe hemorrhagic pneumonia".

Also unconfirmed reports from bloggers in the Western Ukraine that doctors were seeing that this was a new form a flu that killed much faster than the regular H1N1 virus. "Soon Ukrainians started to panic, and the stores emptied of masks and all forms of flu medication.

Even onions, garlic, and lemons became scarce in so me cities. As a countermeasure to this outbreak 9 Oblasts (cities) were placed under quarantine by the government.

The WHO sent a team of experts to take samples of this new flu and send them back to the Mill Hill lab in
London to determine the gene sequences of this flu, and to discover if this was in fact the same Californian/Mexican A/H1N1 virus.

On November 3rd the WHO announced that the samples had been received at Mill Hill, yet almost a week later there have been no reports issued and no gene sequence data released. If these were typical samples it seems that an announcement would have been made already. "The silence is deafening".

It should also be noted that rumors of the doctors being told not to disseminate any information about the new flu cases that would incite any panic, were later confirmed by statements made by the Ukrainian government that police have been told to confiscate hospital reports on patients who have recently contracted the flu." All things
considered, it would not be a surprise if this unidentified virus turned out to be far more serious than the mild A/H1N1 circulating the globe.

Two unconfirmed reports, one in 2002 and one in 2009 by alleged government insiders revealed that at some point that live 1918 Spanish flu would be released on a large scale in the form of a vaccine, for the purpose of mass genocide.

The August 2009 report by Joseph Moshe revealed that he was involved with Baxter in a plan to release the 1918 virus in the Ukraine. Not only was it confirmed that he was a microbiologist, his claim was also substantiated by the current Ukrainian outbreak. After a number of deaths in September the Ukrainian government"banned the use of the H1N1 vaccine.

This would make it quite difficult to release the 1918 virus as described by Joseph Moshe.

It now seems as though the vaccine ban will be lifted and h1n1 vaccines will be forced on the people of Ukraine.

On November 9th the Globe and Mail published a story that revealed, despite"previous claims"by the Ukrainian Government that they had not authorized the use of aerosolized medication on the public as a response to the outbreak, that they in fact "sprayed the city with thenecessary products".

Was this in fact medication or disinfectant? If so why would the government deny this? "Was the spraying in fact a
release of the mystery flu? Was the original intention to release it via the vaccine? Was the aerosol release the plan B after the Ukrainian government banned the use of the vaccine?

A blog post from a Lviv resident claimed that his mother who works for the city council received a text message the night of Oct 29th from a colleague warning her to keep her windows closed as something was to be sprayed. The context wasn't crystal clear.

It could have been a warning regarding a street disinfecting procedure as is often done during typhoid outbreaks.

The government's denial is not irrefutable proof of a bio-attack, but it is suspicious.

As reported by SkyWatch Canada on September 15th , the frequency of low flying aircraft with unusual flight patterns have caught the attention of Canadians living in the Nation's Capital. Is there a chance that Canadians are being acclimated to these types of flight patterns for a future bio-release?

In 1994 such an event took place in the town of Oakville, Washington where there were confirmed reports of a clear gel like substance raining form the sky and making residents horribly ill.

Readers should also be reminded of the report given on the Power Hour radio show in March 2009, about truckloads of "bird flu" being delivered throughout America to underground missile silos orchestrated by the department of homeland security.

Several of those loads were delivered into the back of a military C-130 (an aircraft often equipped with an aerosol dispersal system). Was this multi-million dollar operation conducted for the purpose of spreading the mild and basically insignificant H1N1 demi-flu?

Or has the final phase of the operation yet to occur?

Has the event to justify the recent American National Emergency yet to occur? Will the CDC finally make use of their scores of mass graves and plastic caskets? Will the
military be deployed to put the country under pandemic lockdown, as we have seen in the Ukraine?

Far too much has been put into the H1N1 fiasco for it to amount to a mere outbreak of the common cold.

It seems like many pieces of a plan have been put in place.

Will the NWO put the people in check? Will the virus 'Mutate'?

Is this the beginning of the Globalist Endgame of population reduction?

There are reports now coming from Romania, India, Bulgaria, Belarus, Turkey, Norway that the rate on increase of flu is increasing rapidly.

In Norway foe example 300,000 residents contacted the flu in a single week. Whatever disease has been released is moving across Europe fast. This bug has spread too widely to be a Ukrainian election scam.

Readers should note that just before the outbreak in Ukraine, the government was running pneumonic plague drills.

In early November, there were also pneumonic plague drills being run in Illinois.

Connect the dots.

Notable there have also been reports of heavy supply and personnel movement in and out of known D.U.M.B.s (Deep Underground Military Bases) very recently.

According to an unconfirmed report the parking lots of these bases are full and haven't been this full since just after 911.

What is going on?

William Engdahl says, “The degree of fraud, deceit, official cover-up and outright criminal endangerment of the broad population by the current Swine Flu hysteria is seemingly without precedent.”

What I said a few weeks ago about the economy I repeat again in terms of what is happening in the Ukraine with the swine flu, a new genetic strain of it or something entirely new. President Yushchenko said: “People are dying. The epidemic is killing doctors.” Doctors in Ukraine's western Chernovetsky region, near the centre of the flu outbreak, said lab tests showed at least some of the fatalities appeared to be caused by something dissimilar to both common flu and swine flu.

Moran, an associate professor in the department of emergency medicine in Los Angles says, “Plague may be rare today in the United States, but health care professionals should be aware of its potential as a weapon, because its pathogens are easily aerosolized and the symptoms are not likely to arouse suspicion until an epidemic is evident. If plague were to be used as a biological weapon, the pathogens would likely be spread via aerosol and inhaled, leading to the pneumonic form.” [1]

After weeks of silence in the western press the New York Times finally reported on 13th of November, “When patients began arriving in Dr. Vyacheslav Bonder’s intensive care unit two weeks ago, their lungs so saturated with blood that they could barely gasp, the only thing he could compare it to was a field hospital in wartime. As soon as he hooked one patient up to a ventilator, a second and third would appear in the doorway.”[2]

The entire nation of Ukraine is in an absolute state of panic as a mystery illness rips through their country. The pandemic in the Ukraine is threatening the lungs of flu victims with hemorrhage The first alarm came in August when a microbiologist calls into a radio show[3] run by a doctor with dire warnings about what was about to be deliberately released in the Ukraine and then is hunted down in L.A. by a SWAT squad and its all displayed on this bizarre video. Now just two months later the Sunday Express is reporting, “A doctor in Western Ukraine who did not want to be named, said:” We have carried out post mortems on two victims and found their lungs are as black as charcoal. They look like they have been burned. It’s terrifying.”[4]

Meanwhile banks in Sweden and The Baltic states are in the eye of the storm after leaked reports that Sweden is bracing for a full-blown economic and political "breakdown" in Latvia. The Svenska Dagbladet newspaper said Sweden's finance minister Anders Borg had told banks secretly that Latvia's political order was unraveling, advising them to prepare for the collapse of Latvia's rescue talks.

Eastern Europe offers us a looking glass into the future that is happening in certain places today. Consider that accurate news is a precious commodity rarer then exceptional stones. We hardly hear in the mainstream about the crisis facing many States in America, how much less about Eastern Europe. The model presented by many thinkers is one where we see the Internationalist One World Government super elite taking advantage of and instigating crisis in both economic and health areas simultaneously. Kind of like doing a cannon ball on top of a man coming up for air; what we are seeing today in the Ukraine and the rest of Eastern Europe might be a harbinger of what is planned for the rest of us.

The following message given by him, I feel makes a lot of sense and is important for all to know

The only portals of entry are the nostrils and mouth/throat. In a global epidemic of this nature, it's almost impossible to avoid coming into contact with H1N1 in spite of all precautions. Contact with H1N1 is not so much of a problem as proliferation is.

While you are still healthy and not showing any symptoms of H1N1 infection, in order to prevent proliferation, aggravation of symptoms and development of secondary infections, some very simple steps, not fully highlighted in most official communications, can be practiced (instead of focusing on how to stock N95 or Tamiflu):

1. Frequent Hand Washing (well highlighted in all official communications).

2. "Hands-off-the-face" approach. Resist all temptations to touch any part of face (unless you want to eat, bathe or slap).

3. *Gargle twice a day with warm salt water (use Listerine if you don't trust salt). *H1N1 takes 2-3 days after initial infection in the throat/ nasal cavity to proliferate and show characteristic symptoms. Simple gargling prevents proliferation. In a way, gargling with salt water has the same effect on a healthy individual that Tamiflu has on an infected one. Don't underestimate this simple, inexpensive and powerful preventative method.

4. Similar to 3 above, *clean your nostrils at least once every day with warm salt water. *Not everybody may be good at Jala Neti or Sutra Neti (very good Yoga asanas to clean nasal cavities), but *blowing the nose hard once a day and swabbing both nostrils with cotton buds dipped in warm salt water is very effective in bringing down viral population.*

5. *Boost your natural immunity with foods that are rich in Vitamin C (Amla and other citrus fruits). *If you have to supplement with Vitamin C tablets, make sure that it also has Zinc to boost absorption.

6. *Drink as much of warm liquids (tea, coffee, etc) as you can. *Drinking warm liquids has the same effect as gargling, but in the reverse direction. They wash off proliferating viruses from the throat into the stomach where they cannot survive, proliferate or do any harm.

I suggest you pass this on to your entire e-list. You never know who might pay attention to it - and STAY ALIVE because of it.

Stuffy Nose

Stuffy nose is commonly present with a cold and typically
resolves spontaneously within a week.

Chills

Chills are uncommon with a cold.

60% of people who have the flu experience chills.

Tiredness

Tiredness is fairly mild with a cold.

Tiredness is moderate to severe with the flu.

Sneezing

Sneezing is commonly present with a cold.

Sneezing is not common with the flu.

Sudden Symptoms

Cold symptoms tend to develop over a few days.

The flu has a rapid onset within 3-6 hours. The flu hits hard
and includes sudden symptoms like high fever, aches and pains.

Headache

A headache is fairly uncommon with a cold.

A headache is very common with the flu, present in 80% of flu cases.

Sore Throat

Sore throat is commonly present with a cold.

Sore throat is not commonly present with the flu.
Chest Discomfort

Chest discomfort is mild to moderate with a cold.

Chest discomfort is often severe with the flu.
